CS-80 Calibration Part 3: Power Supply

The first step is adjusting the power supply. Be aware that once you adjust something here, there is no way back because it will affect in some way everything that has been adjusted before.

Power Supply Adjustments

Here I did my first mistake by not reading the instructions thoroughly. I realized this only when I was already working on the first M-board. So I had to go back and redo a bunch of steps again.

The manual talks about measuring between two tie points (GND tie point is the upper card holder rail ), the next page shows the power supply board illustration and the location of the terminals, including the accompanying trimpot. I was thinking, that all measurement points are only on the power supply board as shown in the illustration, which is wrong.

For step 1 you have to measure +15.00V between the lower card holder rail (+15V tie point) and the upper card holder rail (GND tie point):

+10.6V at step 5 is supposed to be measured between the BA board and GND tie point.

For all other power supply adjustment steps you have to measure at the power supply terminals, leave the GND probe connected to the upper card holder rail.
